CGFNS hosts open forum sessions in India for CGFNS Qualifying ExamSM participants
Barbara L. Nichols, Chief Executive Officer for the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) recently conducted five informational forums in India—three in New Delhi and two in Cochin—regarding CGFNS programs and services for applicants, employers, proctors and recruiters. The forums were held the week of 8 November 2005 during the same time as the November exam for CGFNS Certification Program applicants.
“These forums,” said Nichols, “provided us with an opportunity to meet face-to-face with our customer base and other stakeholders. We often use this type of meeting format internationally to educate interested persons about our programs, services, and processes, and offer our international audiences a chance to ask us questions directly.”
Forum attendees came away from the meetings feeling more comfortable about the overall process they are undertaking in their quest to either become a nurse in the United States or support an international nurse headed for the United States.
CGFNS plans to host additional informational forums in India in 2005.
