“The CGFNS International board of trustees recognizes the significant contributions Dr Nichols has made to the nursing profession in the United States and abroad,” said Marcia Rachel, president of CGFNS International. “We commend her accomplishments.”
“Dr Nichols brings deep knowledge and collegiality to her role as the chief executive officer of CGFNS International,” said Gloria F. Donnelly (PhD, RN, FAAN), dean and professor of the College of Nursing and Health Professions at Drexel University. “I cannot think of a more effective ambassador of U.S. nursing to graduates of foreign nursing programs and to schools around the world. The College of Nursing and Health Professions at Drexel University is proud to have her receive an honorary degree at our 2009 commencement.”
