New test center considerations
CGFNS International offers its Qualifying Exam® for registered nurses in over 50 locations worldwide, four times per year. The CGFNS Qualifying Exam® satisfies one of the immigration requirements for securing an occupational visa to work in the United States. The CGFNS Qualifying Exam® is the best predictor of success for the NCLEX-RN US licensing examination and may be required prior to taking NCLEX for state licensure in the United States.
CGFNS International does not “franchise” its Qualifying Exam®, however, as regional need arises, CGFNS International does open new test sites from time to time. Persons interested in having CGFNS International open a test site in their location must submit their request in writing to: Global Research & Test Administration, CGFNS International, 3600 Market Street, Suite 400, Philadelphia, PA 19104-2651
In selecting a new test location, CGFNS considers many factors, including, but not limited to:
- A review of the anticipated numbers of nurses to be tested annually at the proposed center. A submission of a demographic survey along with your proposal aids in this review.
- Maintenance of the neutrality of migration patterns.
- The state of political upheaval or unrest in a country under consideration for an examination center.
- Existing communications systems and basic services.
- Non-interference from the government of the examination site country
- Assurance that the security and integrity of the CGFNS Qualifying Exam® would not be compromised in any way by either agents of the site country, or individuals who could profit from such actions.
